A Christine è stato tolto suo figlio ed è stato dato in adozione. Lei, però, ha sempre sostenuto che il bambino le è stato rapito. La donna, che è psicolabile, non sopporta di vedere una famiglia felice e così quando conosce Alex Williams pensa di rovinarlo. L'uomo in pieno accordo con la moglie sta per adottare un figlio ed è l'essere più felice di questa terra. Christine penetra nella sua casa, uccide la moglie di Alex e ferisce a morte il bambino. Alex, che ha fatto rinchiudere Christine in un manicomio criminale, seppur con grande fatica ha superato lo shock e si è risposato. Ma la donna, che nel frattempo è evasa, medita vendetta.
