Bei einem Einsatz im ostafghanischen Kampfgebiet wird die Militärärztin Nadia von Taliban verschleppt. Als sie nach kurzer Zeit wieder freikommt, findet sie heraus, dass sich Hassan Wali, ein Freund aus vergangenen Tagen, für ihre Befreiung eingesetzt hat. Ihr Chef wünscht sich Hassan als Verhandlungspartner. Nadia macht ihn ausfindig und soll ihn zum Überlaufen bewegen. Er lehnt jedoch ab und die junge Ärztin gerät zwischen die Fronten.
