Výjimečná melodická skladba německého barokního skladatele Johanna Sebastiana Bacha (1685–1750) Koncert č. 2 E dur pro housle a smyčcový orchestr byla natočena v Rytířském sále Valdštejnského paláce v roce 1985. Sólo na housle měl Josef Suk (1929–2011), vynikající český houslový virtuos, který byl pravnukem Antonína Dvořáka a vnukem skladatele Josefa Suka. Jeho hra se vyznačovala plným, sytým tónem, křišťálově čistou intonací a stylovou interpretací. Sólistu doprovodil Sukův komorní orchestr pro vedením dirigenta Josefa Vlacha.
